Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey is already a maniacal worker. The 5-year guard out of Kentucky averaged 26.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 3.3 rebounds in the 2024-25 season as he took on a bigger responsibility in terms of leadership and being the No. 1 guy on offense when considering all of the injuries.

As Maxey and the Sixers continue to push forward, he knows there is still room to grow. He was recently in the gym with Memphis Grizzlies guard, and 2-time NBA champion, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope as he looks to take any lessons or advice he can get from anybody around the league. This time is important for him.

He took to Twitter to post a motivational message with his famous phrase “1%” which refers to his mantra of getting 1% better every day. That’s who Maxey is and he made sure to remind everybody of that mantra.

If the Sixers can have any type of health in the 2025-26 season, they can bounce back and contend. On paper, they are a talented group led by Maxey, Joel Embiid, and Paul George so there is an opportunity for this group.
