“Gregg was an outstanding athlete on our men’s basketball team and an individual who brought joy and light to those around him,” said VP of Student Affairs Sarah Cunningham. “His commitment to excellence inspired many of us.”
Glenn, 22, started in all 34 games for the Green Wave last season and averaged 10.6 points per game on 50 percent shooting from the floor. He played two seasons for Tulane after transferring from the University of Michigan following his freshman campaign.
“He was not only an exceptional athlete, but also a remarkable person who brought energy, dedication, and kindness to our team and community,” Tulane head coach Ron Hunter said in an official statement.
School officials say that Glenn was a native of Florida and the oldest of his siblings. He was also majoring in health and wellness.
Tulane administrators say that students seeking help can call (504) 920-9900 or connect to virtual mental health services here. Employees can call (800) 624-5544.
