Warrior women’s basketball team excels academically, ranks 15th in WBCA Academic Top 25

LEWISTON, ID – The Warrior women’s basketball team is being recognized for the WBCA Academic Top 25 for the NAIA Conference.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes Women’s college basketball teams across the nation.

The organization looks at the respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPA.

The Warrior women not only made the top 25 but were ranked 15th.

“I am always proud of the way they dedicate themselves to excellence on the court and in the classroom, and they do a fantastic job of representing the term student-athlete,” Head Coach Orlandi said.

The LC State women’s basketball team had the highest team GPA in the entire Cascade Conference this past year

This included four players who had a perfect 4.0: Sitara Byrd, Bella Firnkoess, Ellie Sander, and Lindsey Wilson.

Then, 10 of the student-athletes had a GPA of at least 3.75 or higher.
