Il Partizan Belgrade, after having closed the deal for Shake Milton, is now looking for reinforcements in the tall department.

In the last few days, contacts have intensified to reach Charles bassey, former Philadelphia 76ers and San Antonio Spurs forward.

The player’s agent confirmed the ongoing negotiations by releasing a statement to Serbian portal Meridian Sports.

“Charles is truly honoured by the interest of such a historic club as Partizan Belgrade,” said Mark McNeil, the player’s agent.

“We’re considering the offer and will continue to negotiate with the club. Other European teams are also interested in him, but our priority right now is Partizan Belgrade.”

In recent weeks, the player has also been linked with Virtus Bologna and Olympiacos.

Last NBA season, Charles Bassey played 36 games for the San Antonio Spurs, averaging 4.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Bassey was selected with the 53rd overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers.

The big man spent just one season in Philadelphia before transferring to the Spurs. Bassey is a Western Kentucky University graduate. In his senior year, he averaged 17.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks per game.
