The Philadelphia 76ers have had a mostly quiet offseason as they work on winning around the margins on a roster that needs it. President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey has done his best to add some talented young players on cheaper deals in an effort to build a balanced roster around the Big 3.

The biggest example of this is that the Sixers were able to add 3-year forward Jabari Walker on a two-way deal. A former second-round pick of the Portland Trail Blazers, Walker averaged 6.2 points and 4.5 rebounds across his three seasons with the Blazers. He improved his 3-point shooting up to 38.9% in the 2024-25 season as he continued to take strides forward as a player.

Philadelphia being able to land him on a two-way deal has been viewed highly. Bleacher Report stated this on the Sixers landing Walker:

Guerschon Yabusele’s exit stings, but the Sixers landed one of the better two-way big men in Dominick Barlow and executed a heist by also getting combo forward Jabari Walker on another two-way deal.

The Sixers could look at Walker as a rotation piece in the 2025-26 season when considering the injury questions surrounding Joel Embiid at the moment. It’s important for Philadelphia being able to have depth on the frontline and Walker fits that mold. He can do a lot of things for the Sixers and the fact that he’s on a two-way deal is a steal for Philadelphia.
