Bogoljub Marković, the 47th overall pick by the Milwaukee Bucks, will return to play the 2025-26 season with Mega Basket, the Serbian team announced on Monday.
Marković averaged 13.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists on 38.8% shooting from 3-point range in 32 games with Mega Basket last season. He registered five 20-point games, including a season-high 27 points, five rebounds and four assists on March 9.
ESPN reported after the draft that Marković would spend next season in Serbia. Bucks assistant general manager Milt Newton said last month that decision hadn’t yet been made, though that agreement has now been finalized following the announcement by Mega Basket.
Marković played with the Bucks in the NBA Summer League, averaging eight points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists on 48.3% shooting from the field in five appearances. He scored in double figures twice, including a 14-point performance on July 13.
The 6-foot-11 forward was considered one of the top international prospects this year, given his offensive versatility, ability to handle the ball and work inside the paint. He also showcased his vision by making several timely passes on the break or in pick-and-roll situations.
Marković has also represented Serbia on the international stage, including the 2023 FIBA U18 European Championship. He led his team to the gold medal, averaging 14.1 points, seven rebounds, 1.7 assists, one steal and one block on 44.8% shooting from the field.
