NC State basketball coach Will Wade summer press conference
N.C. State basketball coach Will Wade covered several topics during a summer press conference on July 9, including the roster, NIL and schedule.
For the first time in program history, N.C. State basketball will head to Hawaii for the Maui Invitational.
The Wolfpack will be joined by Arizona State, Boise State, Division II host Chaminade, Seton Hall, Texas, Southern Cal and Washington State to round out the eight-team field. All games will be played at the Lahaina Civic Center in Maui from Nov. 24-26.
N.C. State and Seton Hall will tip things off in the opening game of the tournament. The schedule and bracket were released July 29.
Of the teams participating, Arizona State (1994) and Texas (2020) are the only programs to previously raise a Maui Invitational trophy. The Longhorns won their championship in Asheville when the tourney was moved due to the COVID-19 pandemic. N.C. State, which has two national championships, is the only program in the 2025 field to have won an NCAA title.
Entering its debut season under head coach Will Wade, the Wolfpack features 12 newcomers, including nine players added via the transfer portal. Michigan State transfer Tre Holloman, Texas Tech transfer Darrion Williams, Houston transfer Terrance Arceneaux and McNeese transfer Quadir Copeland are among the key additions.
