The defeat sealed a 26-56 finish for Brooklyn in its first season under head coach Jordi Fernández — the sixth-worst record in the league — as attention now turns to the upcoming NBA Draft and an offseason filled with pivotal decisions.
Brooklyn entered the finale heavily undermanned, with a long list of key absences: Cam Thomas (hamstring), Day’Ron Sharpe (knee), D’Angelo Russell (ankle), Cam Johnson (back), Noah Clowney (ankle), Ziaire Williams (patella), and Reece Beekman (calf) were all sidelined.

Despite a competitive effort, the Nets were unable to overcome the shortfall, allowing New York to complete a 4-0 season series sweep.
