A fan favorite uniform is reportedly returning to the NBA.
The Milwaukee Bucks teased on social media about a ‘Cream City’ jersey reboot.

On X, the Bucks posted “We heard you,” followed by a video which contained posts from fans begging for the return of the controversial cream jersey.
“Tomorrow,” they added.
Fans went wild in the comments, reacting to the news of the uniform’s seemingly imminent return.
“WE ARE SO BACK,” posted one fam.
“YESSSS,” said another.
“LETSS GOO,” wrote a third.
“OMG CREAM CITY IS BACK OMGGG,” a fourth commented.
Why were the Bucks’ Cream City uniforms banned?
The cream jerseys, which were first used in 2017-18 and again in 2019-20, were controversially banned by the NBA because they clashed with green-screen technology for digital advertising on broadcasts.
Since then, the Bucks have been forced to use the cream color only in small doses.
For example with their blue city edition jerseys last season, which had small cream touches.
In November last year, Dustin Godsey, the Bucks’ chief sales and marketing officer, revealed that the glitch that was affecting the NBA’s advertisings was fixed, meaning the cream-city threads could return.
Crucially for the Bucks, franchise star Giannis Antetokounmpo will be hopefully rocking the cream jerseys next season.
Will Giannis Antetokounmpo leave the Bucks?
While, the Greek superstar’s future hasn’t totally been resolved, Antetokounmpo admitted himself that he is ‘probably’ staying with the team where he won a championship and Finals MVP in 2021.
When speaking to 20-year-old streamer ‘IShowSpeed‘ in July, the 30-year-old was told that lots of people were asking him to play in Los Angeles or New York City.
“A lot of people are trying to convince me to play there,” Antetokounmpo replied.
Speed then asked if he plans to stay in Milwaukee, to which he replied, “Probably.”

Giannis’ future has been the topic of much discussion this offseason
“Probably. We’ll see. We’ll see. Probably. I love Milwaukee,” Antetokounmpo repeated.
The Bucks’ competitiveness has been questioned in recent years, which has sparked rumours about Antetokounmpo’s exit, who is still in the prime of his career.
One of those rumours suggested Antetokounmpo would team up with the Los Angeles Lakers and form a big three with LeBron James and Luka Doncic
But there would be no shortage of other suitors, too.
Along with the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers, the Clippers, Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, and Toronto Raptors are also all believed to be interested in the Greek Freak.
Antetokounmpo has two years left on his contract but next season is eligible to sign a four-year, $293 million extension with the Bucks or whichever team can sign him.

The Bucks haven’t made it past the conference semi-finals since they won the title in 2021.
In fact, Milwaukee haven’t made it past the first round for each of the last three seasons.
The team also recently waived injured All-Star Damian Lillard, who returned to the Portland Trail Blazers after leaving them to join the Bucks in 2023 in a bid to secure his first ever championship.
Unfortunately, Dame’s return is a powerful reminder that NBA ring chasing rarely pays off.
