The Pelicans announced the signing late Thursday night (July 31), a move that filled their full-time roster at 15.
Heading into his fourth season, Springer has spent most of his playing time in the G-League since being drafted late in the first round out of Tennessee by the 76ers in 2021.
MORE PELICANS
In 2023, Springer won a G-League Championship with the Blue Coats and was named G-League Finals MVP. He was traded to Boston the following season, where he won an NBA Championship as a reserve.
The 22-year-old was traded once again in 2025 to Houston, and he signed with Utah after being waived. Looking for an opportunity to become a permanent rotation piece as an NBA guard, Springer signed with New Orleans.
