Being around somebody every day for nine months tends to build lifelong bonds. NBA players get to see their teammates go through the emotional highs and lows a season brings. That tends to create close relationships even after rosters change. Ask Steven Adams and Andre Roberson.
Adams attended Roberson’s wedding this past weekend. The duo posted a selfie together on social media to celebrate the special occasion. Both were teammates on the Oklahoma City Thunder for seven seasons from 2013-20. Roberson married the original 2KTV host Rachel DeMita.

Adams and Roberson were high-end defensive role players in the Thunder’s first championship window. They played alongside Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. While that group never brought home the Larry O’Brien trophy, they were always a title contender in the picture.
Adams was selected with the No. 12 pick of the 2012 NBA draft. Roberson joined a year later as the No. 26 pick of the 2013 NBA draft. Both eventually turned into starters that helped the Thunder be one of the better defensive teams through the 2010s.
It shouldn’t be surprising to see them form a friendship over the years. Roberson has been out of the NBA since 2021, but Adams remains a key role player on the Houston Rockets. Always cool to see former Thunder players reunite on social media.
