Just how optimistic should Boston Celtics fans be about star forward Jayson Tatum returning to the court next season given his Achilles tendon injury in the 2025 NBA Playoffs? The St. Louis native went down against the New York Knicks in the East Semis, and if one can call such a thing lucky, being in New York City had him under the knife in less than 12 hours after the injury with the best doctor out there for such an injury.
The prognoses we have heard suggest that it is possible Tatum could return as soon as the 2026 NBA All-Star break next February, but ‘possible’ is not even close to the same thing as ‘probable’ — especially when we are talking about the health of a player as talented as Tatum.
