The NBA season is slowly approaching, with the Detroit Pistons unveiling their preseason schedule for the 2025-26 season.
The Pistons will play four preseason games before the start of the regular season, the first tipping off against the Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum in Memphis on Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. ET. The first three games will be on the road, with the last preseason game at Little Caesars Arena, a matchup against the Washington Wizards on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. ET.
Local television and radio broadcasts for the four preseason games have not yet been announced.
The Pistons are looking to build off a 2024-25 season that saw a 30-win improvement from the 2023-24 season and included a playoff appearance as the Eastern Conference’s No. 6 seed. The season ended, however, with a first round loss to the No. 3 seed New York Knicks in six games.

When does the Pistons preseason start?
The Pistons play their first preseason game against the Grizzlies on Oct. 6. The game will take place at FedEx Forum in Memphis and is scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m. ET.

Monday, Oct. 6: at Grizzlies, 8 p.m. ET.
Thursday, Oct. 9: at Milwaukee Bucks, time TBD.
Tuesday, Oct. 14: at Cleveland Cavaliers, 7 p.m. ET.
Thursday, Oct. 16: vs. Wizards, 7 p.m. ET.
