Ryan Bowen is moving down the bench and much farther east.

The Nuggets assistant for the last 10 years was tabbed the new coach of Denver’s G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold. Bowen spent five of his 10 years as an NBA player with the Nuggets. Former Nuggets guard Andre Miller served as the Gold’s coach in its first two seasons. Miller will not be a part of the Nuggets or Gold staffs moving forward, a league source told the Denver Gazette.

Ben Tenzer, Denver’s new executive vice president of basketball operations, previously served as the general manager in Grand Rapids. That role now belongs to Chad Iske, who will also work as the team’s vice president of pro personnel. Iske’s career in professional basketball started as a Nuggets scouting intern in 1999. After a series of stops across the NBA as an assistant, Iske returned to his hometown and worked as a pro scout for the Nuggets the last three seasons.

Nihal Kolur, who joined the Nuggets as a basketball operations associate in 2022, will work as Iske’s assistant general manager, while Matthew Tynes was named named the Gold’s director of G League operations and scouting.
