Most basketball players growing up in the late ’80s and ’90s had their eyes fixated on great basketball players such as Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson. For NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, this was no different.

Anthony entered the league in 2003 when he was selected by the Denver Nuggets with the third overall pick in the draft. He fashioned himself one helluva career averaging 22.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 19 years in the league establishing himself as one of the most ruthless scorers in the history of the game.

Anthony was able to team up with Iverson when the Nuggets acquired him from the Philadelphia 76ers and the two teamed up to be one fantastic scoring tandem. There wasn’t much the league could do to slow them down and the two kept a close friendship through it all.

As Anthony gets inducted into the Hall of Fame, he has chosen the Sixers legend to present him. Just as Dwyane Wade had done in the past.

Iverson has left his mark on the league and the greats acknowledge how fantastic he was and the impact he had on the game and individual players.
