Could the Boston Celtics trade star forward Jaylen Brown if the New York Knicks sweep their team? If you ask former Boston floor general Jeff Teague, such a drastic move is definitely on the table for the Celtics if things go as bad as they could in Boston’s 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals second round series against their Atlantic Division foes.
In both Game 1 and 2 of the season, the Georgia native was part of the problem behind the Celtics dropping a 20-point lead in both contests. And while it would be very much unfair to suggest he bears the bulk of the blame in either outcome, his large salary (and significant talent) makes him a prime option for the team’s front office to move, per the Boston point guard alum on his “Club 520” podcast recently.
