Jeff Teague has a bombshell trade idea (or two) surrounding the Boston Celtics and Jaylen Brown.
The Boston Celtics find themselves on the verge of a humiliating playoff elimination. Despite being the favorites coming into the series, they are down 0-2 against the New York Knicks.
The Celtics, despite being the favorites and leading both games, have looked like the underdogs in the closing stretches of games.
Brian Windhorst hinted that the Celtics could retool their $500 million roster if they fail in the playoffs. At this point, it is pretty much a foregone conclusion.
But who would get the axe? Well, Jeff Teague believes it should be Jaylen Brown, as there are two players the Celtics could land who would become their star.

Jeff Teague pitches Jaylen Brown for Thompson Twins trade
Jeff Teague spoke on his podcast about the future of the Boston Celtics. He believes it’s time they move on from the reigning Finals MVP.
Teague proposed a trade for either Amen Thompson or Ausar Thompson, as they are two strong stars who have the potential to be stars in the long term.
Discussing a potential deal with the Houston Rockets, he said: “Who I would trade JB for, it’s that Thompson twin.
“All those young wings, let me get Cam Whitmore, who’s the tall one who can shoot from Auburn, Jabari [Smith]. We can figure it out.”
Teague also believes a deal with the Pistons would be equally tempting for Boston.
“I’d call Detroit. You want Jaylen Brown, we take that Thompson twin. They would lose some money and get down on the tax, but they get an up-and-coming star.”

Teague also proposed Kevin Durant trade
Jeff Teague didn’t just stop at the young Thompson twins. In contrast, he proposed a Jaylen Brown trade for veteran superstar Kevin Durant.
“They could trade all them other dudes and get Kevin Durant. They get Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, and [Kristaps] Porzingis on the block for Kevin Durant.”
This trade would be interesting, as this was a proposed trade between the Celtics and Brooklyn Nets in 2022 before Durant would go to the Suns.
Durant’s desire to join the Celtics in 2022 was to play under Ime Udoka, who coached him at the 2021 Olympics. Well, now Udoka is on the Rockets, so the Celtics might need a new appeal to land Durant.
