ROCK HILL, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Charlotte Hornets are looking to expand their presence with their inaugural Impacting the Carolinas tour.

The initiative kicked off Thursday in Rock Hill at the Jack Holladay Teen Center. That’s where members of the Boys and Girls Club of York County took part in a youth basketball clinic.

Hornets legend Dell Curry and mascot Hugo were part of the program.

“It’s our initiative where we’re expanding outside the Charlotte metro area,” a team spokesperson told Queen City News.  “We’re really excited to have Hugo here and just looking at having our ambassadors throughout the Hornets’ hoops clinic.”

The team also will make appearances in Concord and Gastonia.
