Mike Muscala joins the Phoenix Suns coaching staff under head coach Jordan Ott.This is Muscala’s first coaching position after an 11-season NBA playing career.
The Phoenix Suns have added former NBA player Mike Muscala to first-year head coach Jordan Ott’s coaching staff.
HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto tweeted the news Saturday, Aug. 9.
This will be Muscala’s first coaching job. He played 11 NBA seasons with his final one for the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2023-24.
A 6-10 big, Muscala averaged 5.9 points in his NBA career.
Muscala played his first five NBA seasons (2013-18) with the Atlanta Hawks for Mike Budenholzer, who had Ott on his coaching staff.
Ott was a video coordinator for the Hawks from 2013-16.
