Big Brothers Big Sisters teamed up with the Louisville Metro Police Department on Saturday for a fun community event at Iroquois Park.”Badges, Bags and Basketball” featured friendly pick-up basketball games and cornhole competitions between police officers and the Bigs, Littles, and families they serve.The event provided a chance for meaningful interaction beyond the badge and uniform.Sgt. Tony Sagra of LMPD emphasized the importance of building trust with the youth.”You know, the relationship you build with the child goes far beyond a gun and a badge.
