A member of the Lady Vols basketball team is reportedly facing felony charges for an alleged domestic dispute, according to a story that surfaced this weekend.

Star Tennessee guard Ruby Whitehorn, who started 28 games for the program last season, has been charged with aggravated burglary and domestic assault per Knox County court records.
The UT senior is said to have been released on bond Saturday with a court appearance scheduled for this coming Tuesday.
No injuries were reported to authorities but Whitehorn is claimed to have kicked in both the front and bathroom doors during a fight with a woman at her home on Friday afternoon.

The victim told police she heard glass break and saw Whitehorn in the parking lot. After things got physical, the victim ran inside and locked the door while trying to retrieve her personal belongings.
That’s when Whitehorn allegedly shouted from outside the home before breaking in, chasing the victim upstairs, kicking in doors and breaking a mirror before fleeing the scene.
“We are aware of the situation and are continuing to gather additional information,” a representative from the university told the local news following Ruby’s arrest.

Whitehorn transferred to Tennessee from the Clemson Tigers last year and averaged 11.6 points 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game last season on the way to a 24-10 record and Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
She led the Lady Volunteers in both points and assists in their Regional 3 loss to one-seeded Texas in Birmingham by pouring in 16 and 2 in the 67-59 defeat.
