Maryland women’s basketball made a huge splash Saturday when five-star 2026 forward Jordyn Jackson, a Washington, D.C., native, announced her commitment to the Terps on Instagram.
Jackson, who attends Sidwell Friends School, is 247Sports’ No. 16 player and No. 5 forward in the 2026 class. She stands 6-foot-1 — 247Sports’ scouting report praises her “length and mobility to be a consistent factor on the perimeter. She can play either wing position given her skill set and athletic ability.”
Her finalists also included Miami, Alabama, Ohio State, South Carolina and TCU.
Jackson is head coach Brenda Frese’s highest-rated commitment since Angel Reese in 2020. The Terps now have five remaining scholarship slots available for the 2026-27 season.
