Team Serbia played and won twice over the weekend in exhibition matches ahead of the EuroBasket 2025 Tournament, while Nikola Jokic did his MVP thing in one of the games.

Against Greece, who were without Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jokic recorded a dominant double-double. In the 76-66 win, which required some late-game heroics from Aleksa Avramovic, he scored 23 points and snagged 19 rebounds. It was Jokic’s first game since Game 7 of Round 2 in the NBA Playoffs this past spring. The Denver Nuggets star looked himself with Sombor Shuffles and dazzling passes.

Then the tournament tips on August 27. Serbia is the second-best national team in the world right now, according to FIBA, behind Team USA. Jokic’s squad is grouped with Czechia, Türkiye, Latvia, Estonia and Portugal for EuroBasket.
