Tyrese Haliburton was so close to the craziest heat in New Jersey.

During the build to SummerSlam, on the other end of the sports world for the National Basketball Association, it was a battle between the massive underdogs, the Indiana Pacers and the huge favorites, the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals. In the end, it was the NBA’s MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder who walked away with their first franchise championship.

However, if things ended up going differently, this is what would have happened if Haliburton walked out with the championship for his Pacers, as mentioned on SelfMadePW.

Tyrese Haliburton reveals before the NBA Playoffs started, he had a conversation with Triple H and begged him: if John Cena was still a heel at SummerSlam and the Pacers won the Championship, he wanted to walk out with him & the chip in Jersey at MetLife Stadium.

SummerSlam was held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Haliburton was still part of the plans when Cena took one of Hali’s crutches and cracked it over Cody Rhodes back, however, Cena still ended up losing to Rhodes and lost the WWE Championship in the process.
