Syracuse’s men’s basketball team has added to its non-conference schedule for 2025-26 that already includes two Elite Eight teams from a season ago, one of them the defending national runner-up.
The SU program announced Monday that Delaware State would meet the Orange in the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday, Nov. 8. It marks the first game ever between the programs.
Delaware State, of the MEAC, finished 16-14 last season.
The latest game added to the non-conference schedule for Syracuse gives them 10 days between games against Delaware State and Monmouth to start the 2025-26 campaign. The toughest early tests come on Thanksgiving weekend — against Houston, who reached last year’s NCAA Tournament championship game, and Kansas in the Players Era Men’s Championship in Las Vegas — and in a Dec. 2 ACC/SEC Challenge game at home against Tennessee, a No. 2 seed in the 2025 NCAA tourney.
