Giannis Antetokounmpo is a member of the Milwaukee Bucks, at least for now.
Following another disappointing postseason run, the future of Giannis Antetokounmpo with the Milwaukee Bucks has become a repeated discussion this offseason.
On top of that, the decision to waive Damian Lillard can only be described as one of the biggest risks on the Bucks’ part.
Despite the rumors, so far, Antetokounmpo hasn’t dropped any hints about leaving the team.

No matter what media reports say, at the end of the day, only Antetokounmpo and the people in his circle have an idea about the 2x NBA MVP’s future plans in Milwaukee.
It likely includes Antetokounmpo’s longtime Bucks teammates, like Bobby Portis. Speaking of which, Portis recently squashed exit rumors around the 2021 NBA champion.
“Yeah, I talk to Giannis all the time. That’s my teammate. Giannis bleeds green. That’s all I can say,” Portis said via ESPN Milwaukee.
In simple terms, Portis believes that Giannis is going nowhere. It’s great news for the Bucks after their last-ditch plan around Giannis and Dame failed in the offseason.
Bobby Portis compares Milwaukee Bucks’ current roster to 2021 title-winning team
Antetokounmpo finally ended the Bucks’ championship drought by lifting the Larry O’Brien trophy in 2021.
While Giannis was undoubtedly the best on that roster, the contributions of the likes of Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday cannot be overlooked.
But what about the Bucks’ current roster? Portis recently addressed its quality, compared to the 2021 championship-winning team.
“I mean, what’s wrong with our team? Why can’t we do it this year? The only thing wrong with us is people being hurt,” Portis confidently stated.
The Bucks were the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 46-26 record during the 72-game 2020-21 season. Can the Bucks achieve something similar in the upcoming campaign? Only time will tell.
