The reigning champion OKC Thunder will look to defend its title during the 2025-26 NBA season, which begins on Oct. 21.
OKC’s complete schedule will be announced on Thursday, Aug. 14. However, multiple matchups have already been revealed.

Thunder to play on Martin Luther King Jr. Day
OKC will travel to Cleveland on January 19 — Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The game will tip off at 1:30 p.m. and will be broadcast by NBC/Peacock.
Thunder will host Spurs on Christmas Day
OKC will host the San Antonio Spurs on Dec. 25 during the NBA’s Christmas Day slate of games. It’s the first time the Thunder has played on Christmas Day since the 2018-19 season. The game will tip off at 1:30 p.m. on ABC/ESPN.
Thunder-Pacers NBA Finals rematch scheduled for opening week
After hosting the Rockets on opening night, the Thunder will play at the Pacers on Oct. 23 in the second game of the season. The game will tip off at 6:30 p.m. as part of an ESPN doubleheader.
Thunder will host Kevin Durant, Rockets on Opening Night
OKC will host the Houston Rockets on Opening Night of the 2025-26 NBA season, which is Oct. 21. It’s also ring night for the Thunder, which will host former Thunder star Kevin Durant. The game will tip off at 6:30 p.m. on NBC/Peacock.
Thunder will begin preseason play on Oct. 5
OKC will begin preseason play with a game against the Charlotte Hornets on Oct. 5 in Charleston, South Carolina. It’s the first of six preseason games for the Thunder.
