Steph Curry and Zion Williamson could join forces next summer, according to a former Golden State Warriors Sixth Man of the Year.
The Golden State superstar made clear this summer that his only goal is winning another NBA championship with the Warriors. The 37-year-old suffered an injury in the playoffs last season, which saw the Warriors sent home by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Meanwhile, Williamson’s career has been plagued by injuries. He played only 30 games last season before being shut down with a back injury. But when he’s on court, Williamson is one of the most electrifying talents in the league.
Curry and Williamson sharing a court would be must-see TV, and that’s exactly what we could be getting next summer.

Both Curry and Williamson have declared interest in suiting up for Jamal Crawford’s CrawsOver Pro-Am league in Seattle next summer. They can join the long list of NBA legends to play at the event.
LeBron James and Jayson Tatum played at the most recent CrawsOver event in 2022. That marked the first time James had taken to the court in Seattle since 2007.
Seattle remains without an NBA team since the Supersonics left for Oklahoma City. The CrawsOver makes for a raucous atmosphere of basketball-starved fans.

Crawford, who played for the Warriors in 2008, said to The Seattle Times, “The CrawsOver will be back. Next year I have it planned out, because I know I’ll be coaching, but still there’ll be a better plan going forward for sure.”
On Curry and Williamson’s interest in the event, he said, “It shows that, you know, the pro-am and Seattle basketball is not only on the map, but, you know, the best in the world are checking in for it.
Steph Curry’s legendary Olympic performance last summer shows that he can still turn it up in the offseason. If he and Williamson light it up in Seattle, it could bring the roof off the building.
Zion Williamson’s interest in the CrawsOver event could be good news for his health
Williamson has suffered from injury troubles since he entered the NBA. He tore his meniscus during the preseason of his rookie year, and was load-managed by the New Orleans Pelicans since.
The 25-year-old made clear that he doesn’t want minutes restrictions, but he has listened to the Pelicans’ medical staff throughout his career. Williamson hasn’t been able to play into shape, and hasn’t been able to put together a healthy season.
It could be sheer optimism from Williamson, but his interest in the CrawsOver event shows that he feels confident of a healthy season next year. He’s happy to take on the extra minutes in the offseason.
This could also be a sign that Williamson is tired of the Pelicans’ restrictions on him. Williamson wants to play basketball, and this season could be a turning point in the way he approaches the schedule.
