Anthony Edwards is coming in with a brand new mindset next season, and Minnesota Timberwolves fans are all taking notice.
Anthony Edwards is one of the best players in the NBA, but he is constantly fighting an uphill battle. The young Minnesota Timberwolves star’s career has been under a microscope for the last few years.
It’s clear the former All-Star is putting in the work every year to get better. Edwards is trying to emulate Michael Jordan by learning how to read defenses better.
Edwards is cut from the same cloth as many of the best players in the NBA. When the Timberwolves got eliminated, Edwards expressed his disappointment at losing to the Thunder.
Currently, the Timberwolves are heading into the new season hoping to overcome their bad luck in the Western Conference Finals. And it appears Anthony Edwards is leading the charge on that front.

Jon Krawczynski took to X to share the mindset Anthony Edwards is heading into the new season. The young star expressed the importance of working out together and is setting an example for the rest of the team.
“One of Anthony Edwards’ messages to his teammates was that it was important for them to be in Minnesota working out together as much as possible. Ant has been walking the walk in that regard.”
Minnesota Timberwolves fans were excited after hearing this tidbit of information.
One fan wrote, “My lord, is it amazing that the best players on the MN teams are LEADING by example in the best ways. Ant, JJ, Buck, Phee… unreal MN leadership in town.”
Another fan expressed gratitude for Edwards, saying, “I don’t know how we got so lucky, man. Changed Wolves basketball forever, and hopefully he’s here for a long time.”
One Timberwolves fan applauded Edwards’ growth, noting, “Ant’s maturity surpasses his age! I like his leadership qualities.”
And another fan applauded Ant for showing his teammates the way, claiming, “I really like seeing that! Ant is taking the leadership role very seriously with his actions.”
But not everyone is satisfied, as one fan wrote, “Ant has been great, but he needs to make an MVP-level jump next season if Wolves want to contend.”

Minnesota Timberwolves must keep their star player happy
It’s clear just how dedicated Anthony Edwards is to finding success with the Minnesota Timberwolves. But the franchise has to show the same commitment to him.
If not, Edwards could grow frustrated and demand a trade. This becomes all the more concerning when you look at the Western Conference.
Teams like the OKC Thunder, Houston Rockets, and Denver Nuggets are surefire contenders, while the LA Lakers and LA Clippers have made big moves to improve their rosters as well.
The Timberwolves haven’t made any such moves. While the Timberwolves did renew Julius Randle for $100 million and Naz Reid for $125 million, they haven’t added any new names to their roster.
It’s hard to see how they will be able to compete with a tougher Western Conference without the active additions that their roster needed.
