Over at CBS’s Eye On College Basketball Podcast, Matt Norlander had Triangle-based Brendan Marks on to talk about Duke’s upcoming season and Marks definitely had some interesting stuff to say, not least of all about Cameron Boozer. Check this out: “If you ask the staff, you ask people in the building, he’s been even better than they thought he would be, which is saying something.”
He’s not going to have the exact game that Cooper Flagg has, but as Marks points out, Boozer’s teams tend to win and he has plenty of game. Marks thinks he’ll average about 17-18 points and possibly double figures in rebounds.
He also says Jon Scheyer and staff are going to turn him loose and let him have plenty of freedom.
We’d really encourage you to listen to the podcast. There’s a lot more there than we can relay here and most of the look ahead is overwhelmingly positive. For instance, Marks is highly impressed with how well Caleb Foster is playing after having some really tough stretches in his sophomore season, pointing to increased confidence and a willingness to take it inside.
