The Boston Celtics have signed former two way wing Ron Harper Jr. to a training camp deal. What made the Celtics want to ink the prospect to a deal this summer? Is the plan to have him compete for the team’s final open regular roster spot? Could he dislodge one of the trio of players Boston has under contract for their own two way slots in Amari Williams, Max Shulga, or RJ Luis Jr.?

Or is the plan to get him back to the Maine Celtics at the G League level, where he previously played within the wider franchise orbit?
