Classes are close to being ready to begin for students at the University of Kentucky and while that impacts many things, it also means the UK basketball roster is returning to campus for the 2025-2026 school year.
While nearly every member of the team had already been training in Lexington at some point this summer, Andrija Jelavic just arrived on Sunday and posted these pictures below to his Instagram.
Jelavic will dive head first into conditioning and training to be prepared for when the team return’s to practice in early September. While he has some work ahead of him, he doesn’t come to Kentucky without any experience.
In fact, he might be one of the more experienced players on the team after two years as a member of Mega Superbet in Serbia. He also averaged a double-double of 11 points and as many rebounds in the 2022 U18 Euro Championships.
Jelavic arriving on campus is the final piece to the puzzle Kentucky basketball head coach is trying to solve in his chase for the program’s ninth national championship banner. Pope will now get to work on finding the best rotations and combinations of guys who play best together when on the court.
Just one Saturday remains between BBN and UK football.
