Serving as an oasis in a content desert, the NBA recently dropped its entire 2025-26 regular season schedule. The Oklahoma City Thunder will soon start their championship reign. After a historic year, they’re the consensus favorite to bring home another Larry O’Brien trophy.

Reviewing the Thunder’s schedule, the NBA has graduated them to the spotlight. They’re tied with the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks for most national television games at 34. That’s probably the biggest takeaway from their 82-game slate.

Another takeaway is the Thunder’s longest road trip. They have a couple of four-game road trips, but their longest travel includes another game. Like usual, the Thunder will have their longest road trip near the end of the regular season. They will play five games on the road from Mar. 17 to Mar. 25.

The grueling one-week stretch of hopping on flights and staying in hotels will be followed by the Thunder’s longest homestand of the season, with five games. Such is life for NBA schedule-makers, who typically jam in a bunch of lengthy homestands and road trips during the final weeks of the regular season.

The good news is that all five games will be on the East Coast. To kick things off, the Thunder will have a back-to-back at the start of the road trip. They play the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, Mar. 17. The next day, they face the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, Mar. 18.

A couple of days later, they travel to battle the Washington Wizards on Saturday, Mar. 21. So far, nothing crazy. Two of the first three are basement dwellers, racking up losses for lottery odds. The final two games are the most noteworthy of their stretch.

The Thunder will travel to play the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, Mar. 23. Maybe Joel Embiid and Paul George will play. They then face the Boston Celtics at historic TD Garden on Wednesday, Mar. 25. Maybe Jayson Tatum will play.

Zooming out, the five-game road trip is nothing crazy on paper. The toughest opponent will likely be either the Magic or the Sixers. But considering the Thunder broke an NBA record last season with a 29-1 record against the East, they seem to do well against the opposing conference.
