Marco Belinelli wasn’t a member of the Philadelphia 76ers for too long–he only played 28 games in the 2017-18 season for them–but he was an important piece of that team.

A pickup on the buyout market, Belinelli averaged 13.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists while shooting 38.5% from deep for the Sixers after the addition. He then averaged 12.9 points in the postseason as he gave Philadelphia a big spark.

After his time with the Sixers, Belinelli finished his 13-year NBA career with the San Antonio Spurs in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. He then went back overseas, but is now calling it a career. He announced on Instagram that he retiring from the game of basketball.

Belinelli will be remembered fondly in the City of Brotherly Love. He played with a certain joy and a love for the game that has given him so much. He will now head into the next chapter of his life after everything he gave to the game.
