LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) – Former Wildcat John Wall announced his retirement from basketball Tuesday.
Wall was the number one overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards and was a member of John Calipari’s first recruiting class at Kentucky.
The five-time NBA All-Star averaged 18.7 points per game and 8.9 assists per game in his 11 seasons in the league.
Wall averaged 16.6 points per game in his only season in Lexington and was a Consensus first-team All-American.
