Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey is always one to want to get up early and get a workout in. He is famous for being at the gym at 6 in the morning–sometimes even 5 in the morning–to make sure he gets his work in to begin getting 1% better every day which is a mantra he lives by as he sets the tone for this group.
Maxey has now gotten his teammates to get up with him and get to the team’s practice facility in Camden, NJ for an early morning workout. He posted a video on his Instagram of him pulling up to the facility at 5:43 a.m. for work. Players included in the video were new addition Trendon Watford, No. 3 overall pick VJ Edgecombe, and veteran guard Kyle Lowry.
Maxey will continue to take on a leadership role for this group as the Sixers move forward into what they hope will be a bounce-back season. On paper, this is as talented a group as any in the league. It just comes down to health which will be the operative word for Philadelphia.
