The Philadelphia 76ers brought in Eric Gordon in the 2024 offseason as one of the big group of players the Sixers were counting on in the 2024-25 season. The veteran guard is a proven player in this league and is somebody who can knock down open looks.
Unfortunately for Gordon, he went through a ton of injuries–much like the rest of the roster–and had his season end after only 39 games. He shot 40.9% from deep so the Sixers hope he can bring that jumper back in the 2025-26 season.

Gordon has been in the league for 17 years already, but after speaking with Basquet Plus, he has his eyes on 20 years in NBA when asked of his legacy:
What’s my legacy? I’ve had a long career—played longer than I ever thought. Just to see how far I could play. I would love to play 20 years in the NBA. So that would be, as of right now, my goal.
Gordon was also asked his thoughts on President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey. Both Gordon and Morey have a history with the Houston Rockets and now with the Sixers as well. The veteran guard gave his praise to Morey as he acknowledged his success:
I mean, he’s had a hell of a career. He’s had a great career, and a majority of the teams that he’s had, I think he’s only missed the playoffs maybe once or twice in his whole career as a president.
Time will tell if Morey and the Sixers can bounce back in the 2025-26 season, but one thing’s for sure, Gordon will be there to play some type of role for Philadelphia. He will either play the mentor role for this group or he will be on the floor knocking own 3s at a high rate again.
