Bucks Wellness clinic treats obesity in underserved populations
The Milwaukee Bucks Health and Wellness clinic in Milwaukee offers a free medical program to prevent and treat obesity in underserved populations of Milwaukee.
It’s baseball season, but global Milwaukee Buck star Giannis Antetokounmpo is back on a basketball court playing for Greece.
And playing quite well.
In a Eurobasket preparation game against Latvia Aug. 20, it only took Antetokounmpo 10 minutes of playing time to score 20 points and grab eight rebounds. He finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds in 15 minutes of work during a 104-86 victory in the Acropolis Tournament in Athens.
Any concerns about rust were erased quickly. He scored seven straight points in the first quarter and made 9 of 12 shots. He also had three assists, two steals and a pair of blocks.
Antetokounmpo and his teammates have two more exhibition tests before Eurobasket (European Basketball Chanmpionship) pool play starts Aug. 27.
Greece was ranked No. 8 in the FIBA Eurobasket power rankings before Giannis joined the team.
More than 20 current NBA players are expected to compete in the upcoming tournament. France (6) and Serbia (5) have a combined 11 active players.
Greece’s first game in the tournament is Aug. 28 against Italy.
