There are a number of former Kentucky Wildcats players on NBA teams throughout the league. Former Cats star Oscar Tshiebwe spent last season with the Utah Jazz and their G-League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars. His future was up in the air after that, but that is no longer the case.
The Jazz are bringing Tshiebwe back for the 2025-26 season after he agreed to a new two-way contract with the team. A two-way deal means he can play with the Jazz for up to 50 games, and play the rest with the Stars in the G-League.
Last season, he put up historic G-League numbers, posting 17 points and a whopping 19 rebounds per game. He was All-NBA G-League for his efforts. In 14 games with the Jazz, he averaged a solid 7 points and 8 rebounds per contest.
Prior the Jazz, Tshiebwe played with the Indiana Pacers and Mad Ants. He was the G-League Rookie of the Year after leading the league in rebounding.
Big Blue Nation wishes Tshiebwe the best of luck this season with the Jazz.
