The Cleveland Cavaliers social media team wants to have the “most reposted Instagram post” on the site, and they’re asking fans to #LetEmKnow.
Instagram recently introduced a new repost button feature, which allows users to easily re-share posts and Reels to their own profile feed.

Cavs IG is already leaning into the new feature, asking fans to use the team’s hashtag “#LetEmKnow” to try and get the most reposted Instagram post.
With NBA Opening Night still roughly two months away, perhaps the fan engagement can get Cavs fans thinking of basketball as the Cleveland Guardians remain in the hunt for a wild card playoff spot in MLB.
Why is the Cavs team hashtag #LetEmKnow?

“Let ‘em know” has been the Cavaliers’ team slogan since before the start of the 2021-22 season. The slogan became part of a larger marketing campaign for the team to draw attention to both a team on the rise and the city of Cleveland as a whole.

The slogan was also implemented in part to garner excitement for fans returning to stadiums following the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, which prevented fans from attending games in person in addition to shortening the NBA’s slate of scheduled games.
The slogan is now a prominent part of Cavaliers merch and team apparel.
