THERE ARE A LOT OF GEOMETRIC DESIGNS ACROSS THE CHEST WITH, YOU KNOW, THE REALLY SPECIFIC KIND OF INTERWOVEN ARROWS. THE OKC THUNDER UNVEILED THEIR 20 2526 NBA NEW CITY EDITION UNIFORM WITH A TRIBUTE TO THE NATIVE AND INDIGENOUS CULTURES. GEOMETRIC PATTERNS ARE REALLY IMPORTANT TO A LOT OF OUR NATIVE COMMUNITIES. YOU KNOW, IT’S A IT’S A MOTIF THAT YOU SEE IN A LOT OF OUR POTTERY AND A LOT OF OUR WEAVING. AND THERE’S ALSO A LITTLE HIDDEN TURTLE EMBLEM. THE JERSEY IS A REIMAGINED VERSION OF ONE FROM A PAST SEASON, BUT THEY SAY THIS ONE DEEPENS THE CONNECTION TO OKLAHOMA’S RICH HERITAGE, SOMETHING THE FIRST AMERICANS MUSEUM IS PROUD TO DISPLAY. TO SEE THAT THEY ALSO FEEL THAT DEEP CONNECTION BACK TO OUR NATIVE COMMUNITY AND OUR CULTURAL MOTIFS, AND THE WAY WE THINK ABOUT DESIGN. There are several geometric designs across the chest, with you know, the really specific kind of interwoven arrow,” Mosteller said. “Geometric patterns are really important to a lot of our native communities.
