It’s late in the NBA offseason calendar so now is the time for players to begin getting some final workouts in to prepare for the upcoming season. The schedule has dropped and the 2025-26 season is right around the corner as everybody gets set for another run at the Larry O’Brien trophy.

The Philadelphia 76ers figure to be one of those teams involved in the race in the Eastern Conference if they can just get a little bit of health compared to the 2024-25 season when they finished 24-58. The Sixers will also be counting on some younger players to develop and be a part of a championship-caliber rotation.

That group of youngsters include rookies VJ Edgecombe and Johni Broome, second-year forward Justin Edwards, as well as new additions such as Trendon Watford (24), Dominick Barlow (22), and Jabari Walker (23). Those five were featured in video footage at the famed Rico Hines Runs in UCLA as NBA players embark for Southern California in an effort to get final prep done for the new season. Former Sixers guard Patrick Beverley also appeared and played in the runs.

The Sixers will hope that these runs in the summer will do wonders for their development and help them grow chemistry as they prepare for the new season.
