The sale of the Boston Celtics is officially official, with former lead governor and majority owner Wyc Grousbeck handing over the reigns of the storied ball club to new majority owner and private equity magnate Bill Chisholm in the eyes of the NBA and the law.

But nether Grousbeck nor Chisholm bought the team by themselves, and in Chisholm’s case, there are a number of investors backing the Massachusetts native in his bid to take control of his hometown team.
