Clark is set to miss her 14th straight regular season game

Star Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark has been ruled out of Friday night’s contest against the league-leading Minnesota Lynx (28-7).

It marks the 14th straight game Clark has missed with her right groin injury. Friday is also her 23rd regular-season game missed due to injury in 2025 and her 24th game overall, including the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup final.

On Wednesday, reports surfaced that Clark has also been dealing with a separate injury since Aug. 7. Clark suffered a bone bruise in her left ankle during a workout in Phoenix on Aug. 7, though Fever sources indicated to the IndyStar that the bone bruise didn’t affect Clark’s return timeline.

Clark’s injury-ravaged season rages on with no immediate end in sight. The Fever have been steadfast in their decision that Clark needs to return to practice and have a legitimate ramping up period before she returns to play.

“I mean, until she can get into practice and until you guys see her in practice, we’re really status quo. Same as we have been,” Fever coach Stephanie White said on Wednesday.

After Clark’s series of injuries in 2025, that decision from the Fever makes sense. On Thursday, Fever White reiterated that Clark still wants to play in 2025.

“It’s been really frustrating. I mean, Caitlin wants to play, you know, she’s a competitor. She just wants to be on the floor. She just wants to play basketball.

“She’s in the mindset that she’s hungry, right, that she wants to be out there, and she wants to be with her team, and she’s working her butt off to get back in those situations. I think each time you have a tweak, or each time you have something else, it’s frustrating,” White said of Clark.

Clark is averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, 5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game on 36.7% field-goal shooting and 27.9% 3-point accuracy in her 13 games played this season.
