It appears the injury bug has followed the Philadelphia 76ers overseas. While second-year big man Adem Bona is participating in EuroBasket 2025 while representing Turkey, the big man limped off the floor in an exhibition matchup with Lithuania.

There was some initial concern that Bona would miss some time which is the last thing the Sixers or anybody wants to hear when considering how the 2024-25 season went for this group. It would be a bit of a mental blow for Philadelphia.

However, per BasketNews, Bona’s injury is not considered to be serious and he is not expected to miss any games. That’s an encouraging update for the young big man out of UCLA as playing in EuroBasket can be a big step for him going forward in his development.

Bona averaged 5.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks as a rookie and the Sixers will be looking for him to build off that in the upcoming season in 2025-26.
