With the 2025-26 Iowa women’s basketball season less than three months away, the Hawkeyes nailed down another future official visit from a prospective recruit this fall. Four-star, class of 2026 small forward Gigi Battle has scheduled an official visit to Iowa City on Sept. 11.

The 6-foot native of Edison, New Jersey, currently plays for DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Fla., where she ranks as ESPN‘s No. 42 recruit. According to 247Sports, Battle is the nation’s No. 37 player, the No. 9 small forward and the No. 3 prospect in the state of Florida for the 2026 class.

In addition to her Iowa visit, Battle scheduled visits to Indiana on Aug. 28, to North Carolina State on Sept. 4 and to Georgia on Sept. 28. Battle also recently visited Illinois.

With Iowa entering year two under head coach Jan Jensen, the Hawkeyes hope to instill a lasting impression on Battle by displaying its positive trajectory along with its dominance over the past five seasons.
