Every day the 2025 NBA draft gets a bit closer, and more and more mock drafts and big board are released. CBS Sports’ most recent big board lists their top 50 players, and ranks one Kentucky Wildcats player on it, but it’s not Koby Brea, who is most often cited as the most likely player to be drafted.

Amari Williams has an NBA body, at 6’11 and 260 lbs. He’s a terrific rebounder and solid rim protector. He is also a tremendous passer, and facilitated the Wildcats offense for much of the season. However, he is a work in progress on offense who struggles to finish more than a guy his size should.

CBS Sports, however, must think highly of the Kentucky center, because they have him ranked 48th overall on their board, and he’s the only Wildcat on the list.

Last season, Williams was a big part of the success of the Wildcats. He averaged 10.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. He also did have foul trouble at times this season.

There’s no way to know how thing will play out in the draft when it rolls around, but it’s nice to see Williams getting some recognition.
