Denver Nuggets forward DaRon Holmes II was among the players spotted working out at the practice facility in photos posted by the team Tuesday on social media.

Holmes was joined by teammates Julian Strawther, Jalen Pickett, Hunter Tyson and Spencer Jones during the session. They were observed participating in various on-court drills and resistance training in preparation for the upcoming season.

The 23-year-old has had a busy offseason after completing his rehabilitation from a torn Achilles tendon sustained last year in summer league. He started ramping up activity during the playoffs and was on the court for much of the summer before suiting up in Las Vegas.

Holmes was a consensus second-team All-American at Dayton during the 2023-24 season, averaging 20.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.1 blocks on 38.6% shooting from 3-point range as a junior. He was also the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.

The 22nd pick in the 2024 NBA draft made four appearances last month in summer league, averaging 13 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and one steal on 42.1% shooting from 3-point range. He registered two double-doubles, including a 19-point, 17-rebound performance on July 17.

Holmes was commended for the way he approached his rehab while maintaining a high spirit. He looks to be staying ready to make his official debut next season and is excited to take the court with the Nuggets.
