The analytic metrics site Bart Torvik has released its predictions for the 2025-26 NCAA top 20 scoring leaders, and Kentucky basketball fans will be paying close attention. Coming in at No. 11 is Wildcats guard Otega Oweh, projected to average 18 points per game this season.
Oweh’s scoring ability will be crucial as Kentucky navigates a challenging schedule filled with high-powered offenses and talented individual scorers. Among the top scorers Kentucky could face in conference and nonconference play are Mississippi State guard Josh Hubbard at No. 2 with 20.6 points per game, Graham Ike at No. 4 with 20.1 points per game, and Ole Miss forward Malik Dia at No. 10 with 18.2 points per game, Missouri big man Mark Mitchell comes in at No. 15 with 17.2 points per game, North Carolina forward Caleb Wilson at No. 16 with 17.2 points per game, and Alabama guard Labaron Philon rounds out the list at No. 20 with 16.8 points per game.
For Kentucky, Oweh’s ability to score efficiently and take over games will be tested against these elite players. His performance could be the difference in key SEC matchups and may put him in contention for national recognition as one of college basketball’s top scorers.
Do you agree with Bart Torvik’s projections, and can Otega Oweh climb even higher on the scoring leaderboard this season?
