Sacramento Kings rookie Nique Clifford was among the players spotted working out at the practice facility in a video posted by the team Thursday on social media.

Clifford was joined by teammates Devin Carter, Maxime Raynaud and Isaiah Stevens during the session. They were observed participating in various on-court drills and resistance training with coaches in preparation for the upcoming season.

The offseason period is an excellent chance for incoming rookies to refine various aspects of their game before the start of training camp. Clifford had another opportunity to work out with some of his new teammates and build chemistry together on the court.

Clifford was a first-team All-Mountain West selection last season at Colorado State, averaging 18.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.2 steals on 37.7% shooting from 3-point range. He was also named to the Mountain West All-Defensive Team.

The 23-year-old debuted with the Kings in summer league, averaging 15.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.2 steals on 45.8% shooting from 3-point range in six games. He was named to the all-summer league first team after scoring in double figures five times.

Clifford projects to be a player who can step in next season and contribute in the rotation for coach Doug Christie. The team was excited to add him in the draft and is eager to see him take the court.
